This girl, Michele, asked for help on Facebook ” Fire on KISS, help”. Her friends started asking if she was okay, but there was no answer. She died in the fire on KISS Nightclub today, along with her sister and her boyfriend, who were there to celebrate their friend’s birthday. The fire on the nightclub of Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, killed 233 young men and women. One of the firefighters who was working on the bodies’s removal, picked up the cellphone of one of the victims: there were 104 missed calls from his mother. The couple of the picture also died in the fire; they died hugging each other, and will be buried together. She was 19; he was 21. The girlfriend of one of the guys who were in the nightclub, received this message: “Estou morrendo, não vou conseguir sair; te amo”; ” I’m dying, I can’t get out; I love you”.
This is a tragedy, and I don’t know what else to say. I can just pray for all the families that are suffering this loss, the people who lost their friends. Please, it does not matter your religion or beliefs, #PrayForSantaMaria.
